Last two weeks were an endless marathon in fighting with every 2nd autowala for a ride ( not a free but a paid ride)

Traffic Guy- So madam what should I do, get a car for you!!

Traffic Guy- Go Go dont waste time
Me- I will call the traffic guys and complaint

These everyday fights with autowalas are draining me down, they spoil my mood in the morning & in turn the entire day, wonder what is happening to Bangalore !!
It was such a pleasant experience when I arrived here few years back today it seems to be a different story.

Interesting… it seems blogger did not like the funny side of the incidents. At least I would presume as my comment was labeled ‘Crap’ :-). I can be sympathetic to blogger for all the ordeal blogger went through. However, if I think from auto drivers perspective, few of them have a point. IT folks in B’lore are giving extra money. They have created a trend so how can sole auto drivers be held responsible? Some where people of B’lore should also be held responsible. Auto drivers also have family, they also want to send their kids to good schools, buy fancy stuff for their loved ones. Poor people don’t get bonuses or hefty paycheck like us.

Food for thought- When a stupid doctor charges 500 Rs. for cold and cough we don’t mind, when those splendorous malls charge sky rocket price for a third grade product- we don’t mind, when every shop charge 15 Rs. for the tap water labeled as mineral water- we don’t mind, when those classy restaurant charge exorbitant prices for the same food which we can get on Dhabas- we don’t mind. Then why do we mind paying 10-20 bucks extra to a poor driver who might have 4 children struggling to go to school?

What auto drivers did was certainly not fair. Unfortunately life is not fair too. So take a chill-pill and enjoy being a victim. Smart people like blogger get that chance once in a while :-). And who knows auto drivers association might have decided to charge extra bucks from smart people like Blogger… :-)

Its easier to sit in a fancy car & preach & give some comments about events which the commentor has never witnessed or been through.

I wish the commentor goes through the ordeal of being in the same boat every single day like the blogger- Some Food for Action :)
